Job Description:
The Telecommunications Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, documenting, and supporting the company's branch network infrastructure and telecommunications services. This position will be the primary liaison between Internet Service Providers, internal departments, and branch personnel to ensure timely installations and reliable connectivity. The role also supports the Network Administration team through first-level troubleshooting, equipment provisioning, documentation, and other operational tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities, communicates effectively, and has an interest in IT.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate the ordering and installation of internet and VoIP services for new branch locations.
Coordinate installation schedules with branch managers, construction teams, and service providers.
Verify telecommunications services are installed, tested, and operational before branch openings.
Ensure site readiness prior to carrier installations.
Maintain records for telecommunications equipment, services, and accounts.
Coordinate with the Accounts Payable team to establish new telecommunications accounts.
Open, monitor, and manage support tickets for internet and VoIP outages.
Evaluate ISP performance and coordinate improvements when needed.
Coordinate upgrades and migrations from legacy services.
Assist with configuring standard IT equipment, including VoIP phones and wireless access points.
Perform other network operations and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with vendors, branch personnel, and internal teams.
Experience working with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for tracking projects and documentation.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and follow established procedures.
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Understanding of fiber, cable, DSL, Ethernet circuits, and internet service delivery is a plus
Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or A+ is preferred
